Obituary for James "Jim" Lowe

James Troy “Jim” Lowe, age 81, departed this life on January 1, 2018, at his home in the Smokey Creek Community. James was born July 28, 1936, to the late Mart Lowe, and Arnie and Starlin Mason.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lola Lowe; step-son, Conure Lowe; son-in-law, Arlie Anderson; step-grandson Michael Miller; brothers, Roy Carroll, and Junior Lowe; and sister, Gene Massengale.

He is survived by his daughters, Ruby Lowe of Robbins, Blanch Duncan and husband Dilson of Elk Valley, Macel Anderson of Smokey Creek Junction; step daughter; Vicky Miller and husband Mike of Straight Fork; step-son, Ricky Dean Lowe and wife Debbie of Smokey Creek Junction; brothers, Clifford Carroll and wife Edna, Edward David Mason and wife Sonja; sisters; Geneva Duncan, Treva Lowe and husband Andrew, Linda Lou Lowe and husband Clem, Jossie Mason, Karen Bunch and husband Hugh Von; as well as a host of grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M., until time of funeral service at 8:00 P.M., Thursday Evening, January 4, 2018, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Zack Duncan and Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by the Mason Family.

Graveside service will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, January 5, 2018, in the Smokey Creek Cemetery in the Smokey Creek Community.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of funeral arrangements for the family of James Troy “Jim” Lowe.
