Obituary for Roger Byrd

Roger Dean Byrd age 54, of Pioneer, Tennessee, departed this life on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee. He was born April 21, 1963 in Pioneer, Tennessee to Lonnie Columbus Byrd and Janice Irene Bell Byrd. He was a member of the Capital Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lola West, Esau Byrd, Mary Jane and Hurstel Bell; nephew, Nathan Griffin.

He is survived by his son, William Byrd; parents, Lonnie and Janice Byrd; sisters, Mary King and husband Jeff, Sue Griffin and husband Jim, DeAnna Huckeby and husband Billy; brothers, Lonnie Byrd and fiancé Dusty, Chris Byrd and Larry Lawson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation 12:00 Noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday afternoon, November 21, 2017 at the New Light Church with Bro. Larry Fults and Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by the New Light Choir, Duncan Family and Jakes Branch Singers. Burial will follow in the New Light Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will by Jeff King, Lonnie Byrd, Chris Byrd, Kevin Adkins, Billy Huckeby and Timmy Smith.
