Obituary for Sarah Lydia "Sara" Shoopman

Sarah Lydia “Sara” Hatfield Shoopman age 73, departed this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the U.T. Medical center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born December 27, 1945 in Huntsville, Tennessee to the late Hoyal and Rosella Lawson Hatfield. Sarah was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Shoopman; sister, Ella Rose Hatfield Smith and husband Ronald; (4) brothers, Walter Hatfield and wife Julie, Arthur Hatfield and wife Mary, Benn Joy Hatfield, Billy Ray Hatfield and wife Patsy; (2) nephews, Steve Hatfield and Jason Hatfield.

She is survived by her son, Kaden Carson; great niece that she raised, Kelsey Roysdon; sister, Carolyn Sexton and husband Roger; brothers, Robert Cade “R.C.” Hatfield, Bob Hatfield and wife Charlene, Charles Hatfield and friend Evelyn Lay, Gene Hatfield and wife Juanita; sister-in-law, Murline Hatfield; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday afternoon, January 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by the Antioch Singers. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kadan Carson, Kason Carson, Tyler Crews, Bobby Lee Hatfield, Tony Smith and Jerry Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Eugene Hatfield, William Hoyal Hatfield, Joseph Hatfield, Gary Hatfield, Cody Slaven, and Elijah Slaven.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Sarah Lydia “Sara” Hatfield Shoopman.
