Obituary for Ray Sexton

Ray Sexton age 94, of Oneida, Tennessee, departed this life on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee. He was born February 25, 1924 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Hawkins Sexton and Alana Taylor Sexton. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Anita Marlow Sexton; brothers, Ralph, Roderick, and Ruben; sisters, Wilda, Sylvia, Francis, Oleda, Mildred, Orangie and Eunice; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Sexton; special friend, Junior Chitwood of Oneida.

He is survived by his sons, Allan Sexton and wife Jane, and Mike Sexton and wife Debbie all of Oneida, Tennessee; (4) grandchildren, Angela Wilson and husband Roy, Nathan Sexton all of Oneida, Tennessee, Amanda Robbins and husband Chris of Robbins, Tennessee and Grant Sexton and wife Brittney of Oneida, Tennessee; (2) great grandchildren, Brantley Sexton and Aubrey Sexton all of Oneida, Tennessee; brother, Raleigh Sexton of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friends, the Five-Oh-First WWII Reenactment Group of Knoxville, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M., until time of funeral service at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday Evening, February 19, 2019, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Johnny T. Polk, II officiating. Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday morning, February 20, 2019 at the New Light Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #136.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Ray Sexton.
