Obituary for Bernard H. Jeffers

Bernard H. Jeffers age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 6, 2018. He was a member of Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tennessee, where he served as deacon for many years and served in the children’s Sunday School Ministry for 35 years. He worked at W. R. Grace where he retired after 40 years of service as a chemical operator.
Bernard was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ova and Maudie Mae Jeffers of Pioneer, TN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lennis and Leta June Lay of Pioneer, TN.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lenita Jeffers; brothers, Hilton Jeffers and wife Faye of Pioneer, Tennessee, and Michael Jeffers and wife Tina of Huntsville, Tennessee; sister, Sharon White and husband Gordon; sister-in-law, Debra Lay all of Pioneer, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M., until time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M., Monday Afternoon, December 10, 2018, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Jim West officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Jeffers, Clay Honeycutt, Ethan Sharpe, Lennis Byrd, Justin Strunk and Jordan Harness.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the building fund or to the children’s ministry at Bayside Baptist Church, 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, TN 37341.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Bernard H. Jeffers.
