Obituary for Glenda Jeffers

Glenda Ann Jeffers age 70, of the Jakes Branch Community, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born August 6, 1946 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Joe Chambers and Velma Lloyd Chambers. She was a Member of the Jakes Branch United Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: John and Kizzie Chambers, Ben and Myrtle Lloyd; sister: Judy Ellen Chambers.

She is survived by her family, Diana and Jimmy Wright, Barbara Chambers, Sandy and David “Blue” Day, Terrie and Kenny Potts; nieces and nephews: Chris, Jody, Lorie, Melissa, Tiffany and Jayden; great nieces and nephews: Destiny, Dylan, Devin, Nicholas, Haleigh, Megan, Gracie, Lucas and Zane which she thought of as her own children. Glenda will be missed by a whole host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday Evening, April 28, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday Morning, April 29, 20l7 at the Jakes Branch United Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Norman and Bro. Johnny Adkins officiating. Music will be provided by Miranda Jones and Tiffany Lay. Burial will follow in the Dave Chambers Cemetery in the St. Fork Community.

Pallbearers will by Brent Phillips, Jody Day, Devin Day, Ken Gibson, Jake Lowe and Joe Lay.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Nicholas Phillips, Dylan Chambers and Chris Chambers.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Glenda Ann Jeffers.
