Obituary for Dallas "Bogie" Newport

Mr. Dallas “Bogie” Newport, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 16, 2017 at his home in the Montgomery Community. He was born February 16, 1952 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Roy Newport and Delphia Day Newport. He was a born again, baptized believer and member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arlie Newport, Ronald Newport, Dennis “Deuce” Newport.

He is survived by his only son, Eric Newport and wife Markie; (4) precious grandbabies whom he loved dearly, Kaleb, Jaeda Pearl, Deric and Kade Newport; sister, Shelby Newport O’Neil and husband Tim; brothers, Carl “hoochie pap” Newport and wife Geraldene, Jack Newport and James Newport; special niece whom was dear to his heart, Jessica Williams; along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Wednesday Evening, October 18, 2017 at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday Morning, October 19, 2017 at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Ricky Massengale officiating. Music will be provided by the Antioch Singers and Tammy Hutson. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in the Norma Community.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Duncan, Justin Duncan, Jamie Newport, Dewayne Lowe, Kenny Lloyd and Tommy Silcox.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kaleb Newport and Darren Lawson.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Mr. Dallas “Bogie” Newport.
